How do I get my own library card?

Children of any age may have library cards. If you are under the age of 14, a parent or legal guardian must come with you to the library to sign for you and to show photo id. To get a free card, you need to be a resident of Tacoma, or you must attend a Tacoma Public School. If you live in Tacoma, proof of residency must be shown. If you are over 14, you may sign up for your own card, bringing your own photo id and proof of address. (See "Getting a Library Card")
