How do I sponsor a special library event?

The Tacoma Public Library offers a varety of free community programs and events - from book talks and signings, film series and concerts to educational workshops, exhibits and an annual citywide reading project. These program enrich the community and offer opportunities to bring readers and writers together, to build and enhance community, and to provide arts and cultural experience not available elsewhere.  We welcome your assistance, participation and support.

If you, your club, organization or company would like to join with us as a sponsor of one or more of these events and underwrite programming or marketing costs, we would love to talk to you.

Some possibilities from our wish list:

  • An exhibition of the work of an award-winning children's book illustrator in the Handforth Gallery.
  • After-hours music and theater programming for teens
    .
  • A bimonthly community conversation on important issues.
  • Enhancement of Tacoma Reads Together - our city wide reading initiative.

The possibilities are as endless as one's imagination. Please telephone the Libary's Community Relations Officer at (253) 292-2001  Ext. 1220 for more information.
