SMART COMMUNITIES PROSPER

Thank you for your interest in the Tacoma Public Library Foundation. We encourage children to read, bring award-winning authors to Tacoma, buy books and DVDs, promote civic dialogue and help preserve our history.  Private support is as important to us today as it was in 1903 when Andrew Carnegie donated money to build our state's first Carnegie Library in downtown Tacoma. Help us build a more literate and informed community with your gift.

Thank you for your generosity and support. Your gift will help make a good library system a great one.

If you have any questions, please call the Library at (253) 292-2001 Ext 1111.

Create a Legacy:  Make a Bequest

A bequest through your will or trust is one of the most popular and simple ways to support the Library. You can set aside a designated amount of money, a percentage of your estate or assets such as stocks, insurance or valuable collections. Please consider designating your bequest to the Tacoma Public Library Foundation. You can specify which programs and collections you’d like to support or make a gift to our endowment fund which will generate income for future needs.

For more information about making donations and bequests please telephone the Library Director at (253) 292-2001 Ext 1111.
